From Movie Theatres to TV

From Movie Theaters to TV

Steven Spielberg and George Lucas said that television will be the future of the cinema, and this became true.

TV series have proven through the years they carry power and a great quality.  This created endless possibilities for composers, who, every day, migrates from movie to TV series or both.

Music is one of many reasons for the rise of TV series; composers like Iranian-German Ramin Djawadi,  Americans Brian Tyler and Mark Mancina show the power and influence of this great entertainment avenue. These three composers, wrote music for The Lion King (1994), Training Day (2001), Iron Man (2008), Clash of the Titans (2010), Pacific Rim (2013), Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Furious Seven (2015). As well for the TV series Person of Interest (2011 - present), Hawaii Five-0 (2010 - present), Criminal Minds (2005 - present) and Game of Thrones (2011 - present).

Movies and TV series are closer than ever. This points to a new kind of public demand. With the growing of TV series, many Hollywood stars are migrating to television, like Kevin Spacey, Kevin Bacon and Jim Caviezel. In addition, movie crews and directors are going to TV... Therefore, composers are walking this path too.

May the Force be with you, ladies and gentlemen
